Woman with warrants arrested on Nassau St.

A Dayton woman, who said she was looking to buy heroin, ran when she saw a police cruiser Monday afternoon on Nassau St., according to the police report.

Police said they caught up with her after she ran between houses and into an alley around 3:30 p.m.

Kara Miller, 35, reportedly told the officer she ran because she had warrants out for her arrest, and they say she admitted she was en route to buy heroin. The officer found syringes, spoons and a pipe in the woman’s purse, as listed in the report.

Miller was arrested and booked into Montgomery County Jail.

According to her online arrest records, Miller is being held on the charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and will be in court Tuesday afternoon. Additionally, she’s facing felony charges including deception to obtain and nonsupport of dependent, among others. Those charges will be heard in court on July 2.
