LEWISBURG —

A Lewisburg man accused of stabbing and beating a woman known to him is now charged with multiple crimes, according to the Preble County Sheriff's Office.

Anthony Brown, 26, was arraigned on charges of felonious assault, kidnapping and domestic violence. Someone posted his bond, which was set at $100,000 on Friday, and Brown was released from jail.

Brown and the woman began fighting while drinking in his home, in the 4600 block of Caudill Street. The incident began Oct. 13 and continued into the next day, Sheriff Mike Simpson said.

According to the incident report, Brown stabbed the woman with a knife, beat her and used a knife to cut his wrists during the hours-long fracas. Court records show the woman also reported that Brown defecated on her.

They did not call for help after the altercation, and bled overnight into the next day, according to the incident report. That's when they called family members for help and were taken to a hospital. The hospital contacted the sheriff's office.

Simpson said blood was visible in the home and there had been an attempt to clean it. Investigators are not clear on what the fight was about.

A child also lives at the residence, Simpson said.

Officials said Brown is a civilian member of the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
