Pawn shop surveillance shows 3 breaking in

A glass break alarm triggered a call to Dayton Police from Gordon’s Jewelry, 1500 E. Third St. Tuesday about 1 a.m.

Officers immediately responded and found a woman near the corner of the business, according to the Dayton Police report. She told police that three males, possibly in their teens, ran from the business. She told officers she heard the glass break from her home. Later, surveillance video confirmed the woman was not involved in the break in, and she was released.

The video did show three individuals breaking in and stealing guns and jewelry. The individuals were “covered head to toe in clothes, ski masks and gloves,” according to the report.
