Mom charged with manslaughter in girl's drowning

By Breaking News Staff

WEST CARROLLTON —

The mother of a 22-month-old girl who drown in a West Carrollton pool this summer has been indicted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.

Tara Seidel, 34, was not in police custody as of Friday afternoon when a Montgomery County grand jury returned the indictment. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Police said she was with the girl at the time of the drowning.

Rylee Jacobs died at Dayton Children's Hospital in August after being pulled unresponsive from the gated pool at the Villa South Gardens apartments.

Her mother was reportedly admitted to a hospital for a drug overdose later that week.
