HIV+ women in jail charged with prostitution

Two known prostitutes with HIV are in Montgomery County Jail, awaiting their hearings on new charges.

Amanda Wyatt, 27, was arrested March 18. She has a hearing on Thursday March 2, and is facing soliciting (HIV), assault and possession of drug abuse instruments, all felonies. She remains in jail.

Alysa Givens remains in jail from her arrest on March 16 on E. Third St. That was her second arrest in less than five days for the same crime. According to records, she was diagnosed with HIV in November, 2013. A grand jury indicted her on March 19.

Givens is scheduled for a hearing on April 8, on charges of solicitation (HIV) and loitering to engage, both felonies.
