Head-on crash injures two in Dayton

Police are looking for two people who fled the scene of an early Saturday head-on crash that seriously injured two others.

Crews were called around 4 a.m. to the intersection of West Third Street and Broadway Avenue.

Two people fled one car before police arrived, and two people in the other car suffered severe injuries. They were taken to Miami Valley Hospital, said Dayton fire Capt. Matt McClain. A third occupants was not hurt.

The crash also damaged an RTA pole and a pedestrian crossing sign. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
