Boy taken into custody for knife at school

A juvenile was taken into custody for allegedly having a knife at the Fairview PreK-8 School, according to a police report.

An officer said the boy seemed to be concealing something in his pocket, and the two struggled yesterday at the school, the report states.

The officer and school staff reportedly discovered the 2-inch knife with the scissor portion open in his pocket, according to the report.

He was taken to the juvenile justice center.
