Amber Alert canceled: Delaware girl found safe

UPDATE @ 5:38 p.m.: The Amber Alert for the state of Delaware has been canceled. Three-year-old Elinor Trotta has been located and is safe.

No other information has been made available.

UPDATE @ 8:18 a.m.: The Amber Alert for a missing Delaware girl is still active in Ohio.

Police reports indicate her father may be en route to Ohio with her.

Media reports also say Michael Trotta was last in New Jersey and may be headed to New York. Reports say he may now be driving a bright red SUV, possible a Ford Explorer. And another woman may be with him.

A man who abducted his daughter in Delaware may be en route to Ohio with her, according to police.

The state of Delaware issued an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Elinor Trotta.

They say her mother’s ex-boyfriend, Michael Trotta, 39, took her.

He is believed to be armed and dangerous, according to police reports.

The Amber Alert states Elinor was last seen wearing a purple puffy coat, pink pants and “Frozen” sneakers.

Michael is a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 160 pounds, balding short haircut, scruffy beard and mustache, last seen wearing all black clothing.

The vehicle they left in has been recovered, according to police reports.
