86-y-o woman opens door to home invaders

An 86-year-old woman was robbed of her vehicle, diamond earrings and $350 during a violent home invasion on Nicholas Road Saturday morning.

The victim told police a black man wearing a black coat, plaid pants and a black stocking hat rang her doorbell and asked if “Moo Moo” was home, according to a Dayton police report.

When the woman told the man he must have the wrong address, he allegedly forced the door open and pushed the victim to the ground, the report said.

The man, who the woman said appeared to have something in his hand at the time of the home invasion, allegedly entered an upstairs bedroom and ransacked dresser drawers before stealing the woman’s car keys and vehicle, according to police.

Police were able to locate the stolen vehicle in the 1300 block of Swisher Avenue, but no one was inside.
