2 arrested in Dayton Denny’s fight

Two people were arrested following a fight inside the Denny’s restaurant on South Main Street this morning.

Lafeon Hamilton, 27, and Danyell Ford, 25, were booked into the Montgomery County Jail on pending charges connected to a reported fight involving between eight or nine patrons at the eatery, 1136 S. Main St., according to a Dayton police report.

As police arrived at the restaurant around 4:30 a.m. two men suspected of being involved in the fight, which surveillance video showed began inside the Denny’s, ran toward Brown Street.

The other people suspected of being involved in the fight were attempting to get into a vehicle, including Ford, who police said became uncooperative with them tried talking to her about the incident, according to the report.

Ford yelled at police and tried several times to escape officers, the report said.

University of Dayton police were able to locate one of the people who ran from the parking lot, later identified as Hamilton, but the second man was not located.

Hamilton was suspected of punching a female during the fight, the report said.

Hamilton was booked on assault and disorderly conduct charges and Ford was booked for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
