CELINA —

A drug roundup by the Grand Lake Task Force on Friday netted the arrests of 10 people on indictments mostly involving heroin as part of an ongoing investigation.

Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said the arrests stem from buys made by undercover officers from roughly October through April.

Many of the people arrested "probably know each other, but they were not connected to an organized group," Grey said.

Most of the activity involving the drug dealing occurred in Celina, but was scattered throughout the city. The sheriff said most of the heroin is coming out of Dayton.

Celina police assisted the task force with the apprehensions. The task force combines the efforts of law enforcement agencies in Mercer and Auglaize counties.

The sheriff's office and task force are continuing to look for one more individual on drug indictments, Grey said.

Unless otherwise noted, the trafficking charges involve heroin. The names and charges are as follows:

  • Amanda K. Krieg, 24: Three felony counts of trafficking. She's in Mercer County Adult Detention.
  • Billy R. Vanover, 31: Two felony counts of trafficking. He's also in Mercer County Adult Detention.
  • Harrison R. Paul, 27: Six felony counts of trafficking. Paul, of 222 1/2 Washington St., was taken into custody Thursday at the Mercer County Courthouse.
  • Zachary D. Sams, 24: Two felony counts of trafficking. A 2003 Ford Taurus was seized also. Sams is in the Noble Correctional Institution, Caldwell, Ohio.
  • Latisha L. Parker, age not available: Three felony counts of trafficking. She's in the Auglaize County Detention Center, Wapakoneta.
  • Jess L. Belton, 28: Two felony counts of trafficking in Suboxone, a schedule III drug. Belton, of 8029 U.S. 33 in Celina, was also issued a traffic citation for driving under suspension.
  • Christina M. Hall, 27, 84 Canal St., Montezuma, Ohio. Two felony counts of trafficking.
  • Jeffrey P. Overly, 25, 341 W. Fulton St., Celina: Single felony counts of illegal manufacture of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. Both charges involve meth.
  • Wesley W. Elam, 21, 310 W. Fayette St. Celina. One felony count in trafficking.
  • Miranda M. Carr, 22, 232 S. Ash St., Celina. Two counts of felony trafficking. One felony count of trafficking in Suboxone.

John Dulebohn, 33, also of 232 S. Ash, was also arrested on a warrant for misdemeanor child endangering. He was not targeted in the drug roundup, Grey said, he just happened to be with Carr when she was arrested.
