1 hurt in car vs. RTA bus crash in Dayton

UPDATE @ 8:53 p.m.: The car hit the RTA bus as it was pulling into Eastwood Shopping Center, a Dayton police officer said the preliminary investigation shows.

The officer was not immediately sure of the direction of either vehicle or how many passengers were on the bus.

The officer did say the injured bus passenger was taken to a hospital.

FIRST REPORT

One person was injured tonight in a car vs. RTA bus accident in the 3900 block of Linden Avenue at the CVS drug store.

The person in the car apparently was not injured in the crash reported about 7:40 p.m. We’re told the injury, said to be minor, involved someone on the bus.

We’re still working to gather more information about what happened or the nature of the injury.
