An epic battle between two of nature's most feared beasts came to an end with a monster crocodile named Brutus coming out as the winner against a bull shark.

The incident was captured by Andrew Paice as he and his partner Nikki and seven-year-old daughter Madison were on a river cruise on Kakadu's Adelaide River.

'The tour guide had Brutus jumping at some meat the first time we went past him. Brutus is quite well known up here… he jumps really high for an old crocodile,' he told Daily Mail Australia.

Paice says they passed by Brutus and noticed something in his mouth. The tour guide backed the boat up and that's when they noticed the shark in the croc's teeth wiggling around. He says shortly afterwards, Brutus swam off into the mangroves to devour his prey.

Dalgleish’s mother said she wants people to remember her daughter's smile and why she loved so many people.

Friends said Dalgleish affected so many lives.

On Friday, Dalgleish was celebrating a friend's 16th birthday with a camping trip at Red Top Mountain in Bartow County.

She was in a hammock when a tree snapped in half and landed on her.

“I was one of the girls sitting around the campfire and I saw the tree fall. I was the only one who saw it. The other girls were facing the other direction,” Erin O’Reilly said.

“We didn't know it hit Joelle, so we went over there, and we were like ‘Can you hear me?’ and that's when Kate said, 'Call 911' and that's when all the girls started coming out of their tents,” O’Reilly said.

Dalgleish died early Sunday.

At a vigil Sunday evening, there was not a dry eye in the room.

“She had already impacted so many lives, and this event impacts everyone so much more, just to make sure they hold on to everyone close. And just keep praying,” O’Reilly said.

One by one, friends reminisced about the good times and said Dalgleish made a difference in their lives.

Dalgleish's mom said she had an infectious laugh and a beautiful spirit and soul.

Grief counselors will be at the school all day Monday. A community vigil will take place later that night.

The ladies of ABC’s “The View” couldn’t keep it together.

Both the co-hosts and the audience couldn’t contain their laughter at the video. In fact, they insisted playing it two more times.

“It was like a flick of the wrist,” Sunny Hostin said in awe.

Whoopi Goldberg joked that perhaps Trump was trying to pinch the first lady on the butt and she swatted his efforts away.

Joy Behar thought it was deeper, insisting, “She can’t stand him.”

“Every woman knows what that means,” Jedediah Bila said through chuckles. She and Hostin were on the same page, laughing at some of the familiar cues in relationships.

Flynn invokes Fifth Amendment, decries “public frenzy” over Russia probe

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn invoked his Fifth Amendment rights on Monday, as his lawyers refused to honor a subpoena for documents from a U.S. Senate committee investigating Russian interference in the 2016 elections, the first time that someone with close ties to President Trump has refused to cooperate in the course of this politically charged investigation.

“In these circumstances, General Flynn is entitled to, and does, invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege against production of documents,” wrote Flynn’s lawyers in a letter to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

“He is the target on nearly a daily basis of outrageous allegations, often attributed to anonymous sources in Congress,” the letter stated, decrying an “escalating public frenzy against him.”

Flynn’s lawyers also cited the appointment last week of a special counsel to the probe into Russian influence in 2016 as reason to withhold testimony at this time.

The decision by Flynn did not surprise committee members; last week, panel chairman Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) had told reporters that Flynn was not going to honor their subpoena for documents on meetings and communications with “any Russian official.”

It was not immediately apparent what the Intelligence Committee could do to compel Flynn to either testify, or turn over documents.

One option is holding Flynn in contempt of Congress – but that does not guarantee cooperation of a witness, either.

During the 2016 campaign, Flynn himself had made light of people who had taken the Fifth in the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server, as well as those who were granted immunity.

“When you’re given immunity, that means you probably committed a crime,” Flynn told NBC’s Meet the Press on September 25, 2016.

Democrats not only dug up old quotes of Flynn, but also some from President Trump, where he also raised questions about those same aides with ties to the Clinton email server.

“If you’re innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?” Mr. Trump asked at a rally in Iowa last September.

Flynn has come under scrutiny for several things – his contacts with Russian officials during the Trump transition, not disclosing payments from Russian groups in 2015 as required for former top military officers, and belatedly disclosing that he was working as a paid agent of the Turkish government, even as he was campaigning for Mr. Trump last year.
