Trump endorses House speaker Paul Ryan, John McCain

Donald Trump endorsed House speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. John McCain tonight during a Trump-Pence rally in Green Bay.

“I support and endorse our Speaker of the House Paul Ryan,” Trump said. The Republican Presidential nominee said that while h e and Ryan “may disagree on a couple of things” they agree on a lot as well.

He also endorsed Arizona Sen. John McCain and Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.

Donald Trump is expected to endorse House Speaker Paul Ryan, according to a report from CNN.

Sources told CNN that Trump would endorse Ryan during a rally tonight in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The move comes just days ahead of Ryan’s Tuesday primary matchup with challenger Paul Nehlen, who has played up Trump’s refusal to back Ryan. A Ryan aide told CNN: “We have no knowledge of this and it’s a question for their campaign.”
