Men in ski masks commit apartment robbery in Xenia

XENIA — UDPATE @7:30 a.m.

A man who was beaten with a gun during an armed robbery in Xenia said the robbers “busted in” and started hitting him.

The victim, who declined to give his name, said the three men took his wallet and “busted his head up.”

“They came here and threatened us ... threatened our lives,” he said.

The victim said he’s not sure what the suspects looked like, and he is unsure what the robbery was about.

Xenia police are investigating a reported armed robbery.

Around 4:15 a.m. Thursday, a 911 caller reported three men wearing ski masks forced everyone inside an apartment in the 700 block of Trumbull Street to lie down with their heads covered. One person was reportedly beaten with a gun, according to initial reports.

An unknown amount of cash was stolen, police told News Center 7's Gabrielle Enright on scene. She reports one male was taken to a hospital for injuries.
