Two victims taken to hospital following stabbing in Harrison Twp.; 1 in custody

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE (Sunday 7/5) @ 7:50 a.m.:

Two victims are in the hospital after a stabbing at the intersection of Philadelphia and Valerie Arms drives Saturday evening.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office stated in the press release that upon their arrival to the scene, they located two victims and the suspect. The suspect who is described at a 27-year-old African American male was seen fleeing in a vehicle. He was stopped a short distance away and taken into custody.

Medics on scene transported the victims to a local hospital where the female is listed as in critical condition and the male in fair condition.

MCSO added that the investigation revealed that a domestic dispute occurred leading up to the stabbing. After the initial assault, a bystander stooped to render aid to the female was assaulted by the suspect.

The matter remains under investigation by the Special Investigations Unit.

One person is in custody following a stabbing reported around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Philadelphia and Valerie Arms drives in Harrison Twp.

A medic was called to this scene for the victim’s stab wounds and another was called to the intersection of Stiebenthaler Avenue and Catalpa Drive, the location where the suspect was apprehended.

Both the victim and suspect were taken to Grandview Medical Center.

It is currently unclear what injuries the suspect suffered.

A medic has been called to the scene of a stabbing reported around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Philadelphia Drive and Valerie Arms Drive.

There is a second, related scene at West Stiebenthaler Avenue and Catalpa Drive, according to scanner traffic. A second medic is responding to this scene.

The condition of those involved is currently unknown.
