21-year-old Indiana man killed in single-vehicle crash in Randolph County

A 21-year-old Indiana man was killed Monday evening when his car left County Road 1000 West in Randolph County and slammed into a tree.

Quentine Carney, of Farmland, Indiana, was ejected in the accident that occurred about 6:15 p.m., Randolph County Sheriff's Department officials said in a statement released tonight.

According to the preliminary investigation, Carney was headed south in a Chevrolet Cobalt when the accident occurred on County Road 1000 West, south of County Road 400 South.

A county coroner's investigator pronounced Carney at the scene.

The sheriff's crash scene investigators were reviewing the accident to determine why the vehicle left the roadway.
