Woman jailed after OD in parking lot of Shelby County Sheriff’s Office

A Sidney woman has been booked into the Shelby County Jail after she overdosed in the parking lot of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Thursday.

Kimberly Hicks, 27, has been booked into the jail on a charge of possessing criminal tools. Investigators said other charges are pending in the incident.

Hicks was revived in the parking lot of the sheriff’s office, transported to a local hospital for treatment, then booked into the jail, according to officials.

FIRST REPORT

A woman was transported to the hospital after deputies found her suffering from an overdose in her vehicle in the parking lot of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, deputies said.

Deputies said they used four doses of Narcan before the woman became responsive around 11 a.m. Thursday.

The woman was removed to a local hospital for treatment.

Deputies also were searching the woman’s vehicle for any other evidence in the case.

We’re working to learn the woman’s identity and what charges she may face in the case.
