Showers and storms arrive overnight, Sunday

Clouds increase overnight with the chance for a few passing showers, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said. There is a slight chance for lightning or thunder. Lows overnight will be in the middle 50s.

Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms are expected, some of which could be strong in the afternoon, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said.The severe threat doesn't look high but heavy rain, lightning, thunder and gusty winds are possible. While the hail and tornado threat looks slight, it still cannot be ruled out. Showers and storms will come to an end Sunday night. Highs during the day will be in the middle 60s.

Monday: Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected. Most of the day should be dry, but the chance for more showers and storms returns late Monday into Tuesday. Highs Monday will be in the upper 60s.

Tuesday: A few lingering showers are likely for the first part of the day. Highs will be in the middle 60s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny skies are expected with highs in the upper 50s.

Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy skies are on tap. There also is the chance for more rain late Thursday into Friday. Highs will be in the middle to upper 50s.
