Vandalia plans drop-off day for residents

VANDALIA – Locals are invited to drop off large items to the Public Works garage, 97 Clubhouse Way, on Sept. 10. The drop-off event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Waste will be strictly limited to brush, limbs and large construction debris.

To drop off items, proof of residency must be provided.

In addition, the City of Vandalia and Rumpke will provide weekly curbside removal of bulk items and small construction debris for no fee, as long as residents contact Rumpke at 937-461-0004 at least 72 hours in advance.

The large item drop-off program will continue on the second Saturday of designated months, shown in the city calendar on the city’s website.
