Upgrades planned for Epiphany Lutheran Church in Centerville

Plans for a new 3,000 square-foot roof over an outdoor amphitheater at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Centerville will be discussed during the city's planning commission meeting Sept. 26.

"This project will allow the church congregation to conduct service outdoors more often throughout the year as well as provide an area to host and shelter weddings, funerals and other events," according to plans submitted to the city.

The project at the church, 6430 Far Hills Ave., also would also include the addition of a new surrounding garden area and provide hard surfaces in lieu of gravel to provide handicapped accessibility.

The new roofing structure would cover the existing amphitheater located to the southeast corner of the parking lot on the existing property.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Centerville city building.
