Troy woman claims feces suddenly appeared on back porch

Feces mysteriously appeared on a woman’s patio furniture, her great grandson’s toys and other items on her property, a Troy woman told dispatchers.

“We got to smelling something through the patio door,” Holly Petry told 911 operators when she called Tuesday afternoon. “It’s all over my patio furniture, my patio rug, my tables and everything.”

Petry told dispatchers she wasn’t sure where the suspected feces came from, but when she called our newsroom she said she believed it may have come from a plane passing over her home between 3:40 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday.

“This is awful,” she said.  “It was all of a sudden.”

We’re working to find out where the suspected feces may have come from, but Petry said she doesn’t believe it was from any animals.

“It’s like some kind of sewer exploded,” Petry said.

Miami County deputies did respond to Petry’s call and told her to hose down the items that were covered in the substance.
