Troy hockey team decks out in pink for breast cancer awareness

The Troy High School hockey team tonight defeated the Sycamore Aviators of suburban Cincinnati 5-4 at Hobart Arena.

It was senior night, but the real winners are the Pink Ribbon Girls and their message of breast cancer awareness.

The Troy Trojans were decked out in pink jerseys with pink on their hockey sticks.

One in eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

All proceeds from tonight’s game went to Pink Ribbon Girls. This is the first of what is expected to become an annual high school hockey tradition at Troy.
