Trees fall on wires as high winds affect region

MIAMI VALLEY — There have been reports of trees falling, bringing down utility lines as high winds affect the region.

DAYTON:

• On Arcadia Blvd. between Smithville Road and Randall Avenue a large tree has brought down live RTA wires, closing the road in the area around 4:30 p.m.

CLARK COUNTY:

• Dogwood Drive is closed in the 2300 block and several people are without power after a tree fell onto power lines in the area as a severe thunderstorm passed through the area this afternoon.  Ohio Edison is working to restore power.
