Tecumseh community launches balloons to honor teen who loses cancer battle

NEW CARLISLE — Gold balloons filled the sky Sunday afternoon at the Tecumseh High School football field after hundreds of community members gathered to honor a teen who died of cancer.

Collin Griffin, a 14-year-old eighth-grader at Tecumseh Middle School, died March 9 following a yearlong battle with a rare form of cancer.

His funeral was held Wednesday.
