Sidney police search for suspect involved in high-speed chase

SIDNEY — Sidney police are searching for a man they said fled after crashing during a pursuit late Monday.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol were involved in a pursuit on Interstate 75 north of Botkins around 11:40 p.m., according to Sidney police.

The suspect exited I-75 in Botkins and headed south on County Road 25-A into Sidney at speeds over 80 mph, police said. The suspect continued fleeing from Sidney police and drove into downtown.

The suspect eventually crashed on Fair Road at the Miami Conservancy and fled on foot.

No arrest has been made and police believe they know who the suspect is, police said.
