The CDC is warning people to not consume Kratom due to a Salmonella outbreak linked to the plant.

It is a stimulant which comes in pills, powders and tea, and was recently declared to be an opioid by the FDA.
According to the CDC, 28 people in 20 states have been infected with Salmonella, eleven people have been hospitalized.

Kratom is also known as Kakuam, Thom, Ketom, Biak, and Thang.
