3 indicted in Dayton apartment stabbing

Three suspects in custody for a late March stabbing are now indicted, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report released Friday.

Juan Bell, 41, is charged with aggravated burglary and two counts of felonious assault. The charges all carry a specification as a repeat violent offender.

Hope Hatton, 33, is charged with aggravated burglary.

Alton Herron III, 45, is charged with aggravated burglary, which carries a specification as a repeat violent offender.

In addition, Bell and Herron are suspected of a parole violation, records show.

All three have been held in the Montgomery County Jail since their March 30 arrests. Dayton police were called around 1:05 a.m. that day to the 3400 block of Idylwilde Boulevard after a man was stabbed at his apartment.

Bell, Hatton and Herron are scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Three suspects have been taken into police custody in connection with the Idylwilde Boulevard stabbing early Thursday.

Juan Bell, 41; Alton Herron III, 45; and Hope Hatton, 33, were arrested on North Dixie Drive, according to a police.

According to the incident report, the suspects forced their way into an apartment where one victim was assaulted, and another victim was stabbed at least twice.

UPDATE @4:06 a.m. 

Josh Chapman, who lives in the building, said he  went to the apartment after he heard yelling and screaming.

“The gentleman was lying on the floor bleeding from both legs,” he said. “He was stabbed in both legs.”

INITIAL REPORT

One person has reportedly been stabbed multiple times inside an apartment on Idylwilde Boulevard in Dayton Thursday morning.

Police and medics were dispatched to the 3400 block of Idylwilde Boulevard around 1:05 a.m. on initial reports of a man stabbed.

Initial reports indicate the victim was stabbed multiple times, but his condition was not immediately known.

A witness who lives in the complex told our crew he heard a disturbance inside the victim’s apartment and a few people leave the scene before police arrived.
