Repaving work continues Saturday in Sidney

The city of Sidney is providing a smoother ride for drivers by repaving a handful of roads today and Saturday.

Fair Road, South Vandemark Road and Water Street were to be paved Friday, and North Vandemark Road is scheduled to be repaved Saturday, according to the city’s Facebook page.

Vehicle detectors were removed from the road to repave the streets, which means the traffic lights will operate irregularly at the following intersections:

• Fair Road/ChaseAvenue/Water Street
• Vandemark Road/Michigan Street
• Vandemark Road/Campbell Road
• Michigan Street/Fourth Avenue

Traffic lights will return to normal operations once the paving is complete.
