UPDATE @ 8:55 p.m.

A vehicle was traveling east on U.S. 35 when the driver took the exit ramp that heads to Interstate 675.

“Shortly thereafter (the vehicle) went off the roadway, left, loses control, over-corrects, comes back onto the roadway and flips multiple times, causing the driver to be ejected,” Sgt. Nick Amato of the Beavercreek Police Department said.

The male driver, whose name, age and condition was not available, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, the sergeant said.

Whether the driver suffered a medical issue or that speeding, drugs or alcohol are factors remains under investigation, Amato said.

The ramp will remain closed, possibly opening by 10:30 p.m., so motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.

The ramp has been the site of other serious crashes.

“A lot of times it’s related to speed, so we just caution everybody to take their time, especially in heavy traffic,” Amato said.
