ANSONIA — UPDATE @ 6:53 a.m. (Nov. 30):
The final Queen of Hearts game drawing will be tonight at the Whistle Stop in Ansonia.
Tickets will be drawn until someone wins. The jackpot has approached $500,000 since August.
News Center 7’s James Buechele is in Ansonia today to capture the excitement building as a winner will finally be revealed tonight after months of the game being played.
UPDATE @ 10:43 p.m. (Nov. 22): We’re hearing there is no winner in tonight’s Queen of Hearts game, where a record jackpot of an estimated $451,000 was up for grabs on the night before Thanksgiving.
There are eight cards remaining.
The next drawing is Thursday, Nov. 30, when organizers said there will be drawings until the queen is pulled.
UPDATE @ 10:10 p.m. (Nov. 16)
There was no winner in tonight’s Queen of Hearts game, which had a record jackpot of more than $382,000.
There are nine cards left in the game at the Whistle Stop. The next drawing is Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving.
If there is still no winner then, there will be drawings Nov. 30 until someone wins.
A winner in the Queen of Hearts game at the Whistle Stop will be decided before November ends.
There are 10 cards remaining in the game. The jackpot has continued to grow and has remained over $300,000 for several weeks.
Owners of the bar said the game will end this month and will not continue in December.
A drawing will be held tonight and the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. If the game continues, it will conclude Nov. 30. That night, the remaining numbers will be drawn until a winner is found.
Queen of Hearts is a legal game of chance in which the person holding the winning ticket pulled during a raffle has a chance to pick the Queen of Hearts from the remaining cards in the deck.
