Police investigate armed robbery at Springfield Certified station

Springfield police are investigating after an armed robbery occurred at the Certified gas station on South Limestone Street early Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the station at 2501 South Limestone Street around 1:30 a.m. after a clerk reported an armed robbery.

Police scanner traffic indicates one masked man entered the store and displayed a gun while a second person remained in the getaway vehicle.

The vehicle, described as a silver pickup truck, matches the description of a truck involved in an armed robbery at the Speedway station last Thursday. The same suspect vehicle also led multiple jurisdictions on two pursuits in Clark County on Friday morning.
