Driver arrested after striking boyfriend with her car

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 10:15 p.m.

A woman was arrested for striking her boyfriend with her car this afternoon during an argument near the Northland Village apartments.

A man with visible road rash injuries to his right hand and both knees said he got into a disagreement with his girlfriend on Republic Drive just west of North Dixie Drive. At that time, he got out of her car and threw a bottle at the front windshield, which damaged it. He said his girlfriend then became enraged and hit him with her car, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The man went airborne and came down on the windshield, shattering it. His injuries were described as minor and he was treated at the scene, deputies said.

His girlfriend was taken into custody without incident for felonious assault. Although deputies did not release the woman’s name, Montgomery County Jail online booking information shows that 25-year-old Jessica Montgomery was arrested around 4 p.m. in the area of Marker Avenue and North Dixie Drive on suspicion of felonious assault.

The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office special investigations unit.

The windshield of a car was cracked this afternoon following a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

The incident was reported at 4 p.m. on Marker Avenue near Dixie Drive in Harrison Twp.

According to a sergeant with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was driving a car that struck a man. According to the regional dispatch center, the man reportedly suffered visible road rash and had injures to his hand and leg but refused treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
