OVI checkpoint planned in Kettering Friday night

A sobriety checkpoint is planned Friday night in the city of Kettering.

The OVI checkpoint will be conducted by Kettering police and the Montgomery County OVI Task Force from 9 p.m. Friday to 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of East Dorothy Lane and Woodman Drive.

The precise location of the checkpoint will be announced Friday morning.

The effort to “deter and intercept impaired drivers” is funded by federal, state and local grants, according to the release from Kettering police.
