Ohio Task Force 1 readies for potential deployment to Florida

Ohio Task Force 1 (OH-TF1) is preparing for a potential deployment to Florida in response to Hurricane Irma, according to a release.

OH-TF1 is in reserve and ready for any assistance requests from FEMA. Currently, four OH-TF1 members are deployed in various oversight positions as part of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue System.

According to the OH-TF1 release, the FEMA program has over 1,300 rescuers deployed across the Southern United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
