Details released from Clermont County tornado

UPDATE @ 3:33 p.m. (Mar. 27):

The National Weather Service reports an EF-1 tornado touched down in Clermont County Sunday afternoon.

The weather service said the tornado had maximum sustained winds of 90 mph and its maximum width was 70 yards.

The tornado, which was reported around 2:30 p.m., was on the ground for less than a half mile and touched down near Williamsburg.

Initial damage was caused to a small barn and overturned camper, NWS said.

There also was structural damage to a residence on Concord Hennings Mill Road, where garage door walls were collapsed and a roof was blown off, the weather service said.

INITIAL REPORT:

The National Weather Service has confirmed damage from a storm that passed through Clermont County Sunday was from a tornado.

NWS conducted a storm survey in the county south of Williamsburg this morning and made the determination of the tornado after noon Monday.

Additional details about the tornado are expected to be released later today.
