2 sent to hospital from scene of Champaign Co. rollover crash

UPDATE @ 5:11 p.m.

At least two people have been taken to hospitals following a rollover crash on Ohio 56 in Urbana Twp., according to dispatchers. 

Dispatchers said deputies are still investigating the crash scene. 

It is unknown how many total injuries are reported, however dispatchers described the crash as serious. 

Initial reports indicate at least two people in two different cars were unconscious. 

We are working to learn the severity of the victim's injuries and the cause of the crash.

EARLIER REPORT

Emergency crews are responding to a serious crash on Ohio 56 in Champaign County Sunday afternoon. 

Police and multiple medics are at the scene of the two-car crash at the intersection of Ohio 56 and Mechanicsburg Catawba Road. 

Two people are reportedly unconscious at the scene as a medical helicopter is requested to the scene.

The 2018 Dayton Women’s March will take place today

The 2018 Dayton Women’s March will take place today, January 20.

The event, which will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. at Courthouse Square (23 N. Main Street) is being organized by Dayton Women’s Rights Alliance, along with Dayton Indivisible for All and others.

The 2018 rally is designed to engage and empower all people to support women’s rights, human rights, civil rights, disability rights, and many others seeking equality.

Though the women’s movement has been around for decades, the historic march in Dayton began in January 2017 in order to unite with other cities throughout the U.S. to build a positive and just future for all.

Over five million people participated in women's marches around the world last January, including four million in the United States and 3,000 in Dayton.

Crews continue to battle major fire at AK Steel in Middletown

UPDATE @ 9:23 a.m: Crews continue to battle a massive fire at AK Steel in Middletown that occurred Saturday morning.

The address to the fire has been updated to the 3400 block of Lefferson Road, according to officials.

We are still working to learn details on the fire and will keep this story updated. 

INITIAL REPORT

Multiple fire crews are responding to the 1800 block of Crawford Street on a structure fire at AK Steele in Middletown, per initial reports.

The incident was reported around 8:30 a.m., and is reportedly escalating.

  • Stewart Street Ramp to US 35 East, RAMP CLOSURE March 28 - Sept 30, 2018. The official detour is: Stewart Street to Edwin C. Moses Boulevard to I-75 north to US 35 west to James H. McGee Blvd. to US 35 east.
  • I-75 north Ramp to US 35 west and east, Lane width restriction until Apr. 1, 2018. One lane will remain open on the ramp with a width of 11 feet.
