More than $10K worth of marijuana, hashish seized in Miami County traffic stop

MIAMI COUNTY — A Michigan man was arrested after state troopers discovered over $10,000 worth of marijuana and solid hashish during a traffic stop in Miami County.

Troopers initiated a traffic stop on a 2004 Jeep on Interstate 75 on Dec. 21 initially for speed and a turn signal violation, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The driver, identified as Patrick Green, 59, of West Branch, Mich., admitted to troopers he was carrying marijuana he used for personal use.

Troopers searched the Jeep and found three pounds of hydroponic marijuana, marijuana brownies, and over 18 grams of solid hashish. The estimated street value of the items was $10,215, troopers said.

The driver, identified as Patrick Green, 59, of West Branch, Mich., was arrested and charged with multiple felony drug charges.

Green is no longer listed as an inmate of the Miami County Jail and his mugshot was not immediately available.
