J.D. Vance, a Middletown High School and Ohio State graduate, has decided a senate run is not in the best interest of his family at this time.
According to a social media post pictured below Vance states, “ Count me out of politics for now.”
Vance is a New York Times bestselling author for his memoir, "Hillbilly Elegy," and the book was a 2017 finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
