Man arrested for outstanding warrant, police locate drugs, handgun

A Richmond, Ind. man is facing several additional felony charges after he was arrested for an outstanding warrant Tuesday evening.

Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, state parole agents served a parole violation warrant at a home in the 200 block of North 19th Street in Richmond.

State police located and arrested 32-year-old Thomas Tanner originally for an outstanding warrant for parole revocation.

During the investigation, officers located a handgun, heroin, pills, and marijuana inside the house.

Tanner was also charged with felony counts of dealing heroin, possession of a handgun by a convicted, violent felon, possession of heroin, and two misdemeanor drug charges.

Tanner was booked into the Wayne County, Ind.  jail.
