Widespread, substantial flooding reported in Butler County

UPDATE @ 8:20 p.m.: There is widespread, substantial flooding in certain areas" throughout Butler County, a dispatcher with the sheriff's office said.

There are flooding issues in Hamilton and in the village of Seven Mile in St. Clair Twp., in Butler County.

A Butler County sheriff’s dispatcher said there were a few places on U.S. 127 that have water over the road way. He said there were about a half-dozen houses in Seven Mile that had flooding.

He said there were some roads flooded on the west side of Hamilton and a few on Hamilton’s East Side. The dispatcher said there was an power outage on the west side of Hamilton.

INITIAL REPORT

A downed tree limb hit a power line on Washington Mill Road and has knocked out electric service to approximately 141 customers in Greene County, Dayton Power & Light spokeswoman Kelly Millhouse said.

A crew is on scene, making repairs, she said.

According to Greene County Sheriff's dispatch, a tree and power lines were reported down about 4:40 p.m., in the 3100 block of Washington Mill Road, southeast of Bellbrook and southwest of Xenia.
