— QUICK-LOOK FORECAST
TUESDAY: A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect for the entire region starting at 8 p.m. tonight.
High temperatures will reach around 40 degrees this afternoon and will fall into the lower 30s by evening, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini.
Some passing showers, mainly cold rain, through the rest of the day but some could see sleet.
The next round of precipitation will start around the evening commute, but closer to sunset, Zontini said. Snow will be widespread and will accumulate through the overnight as temperatures drop into the upper 20s with wind gusts between 25 and 35 mph.
WEDNESDAY: A messy morning commute is expected with temperatures in the 20s and snow still falling. Winds will still gust around 30 mph, so blowing, drifting, and poor visibility are possible.
Overall most of the Miami Valley will end up with around 3 to 4-inches of snow with some areas seeing closer to 4 to 6-inches, Zontini said.
Snow will taper off around noon but it’ll be breezy for the rest of the day with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-30s. Chilly temperatures overnight drop to the low 20s.
THURSDAY: Refreeze or lingering snowy roads are possible early since temperatures will be in the low 20s. However, they’ll be big improvements through the day as sunshine returns and temperatures peak in the low 40s. Expect it to be dry throughout the entire day.
FRIDAY: A sunny start with clouds increasing through the day. Highs will peak in the mid-40s as passing showers develop overnight.
SATURDAY: Morning temperatures starting in the upper 20s could mean a brief wintry mix. Rain showers through the afternoon may end as wet snow. Highs reach in the low 40s.

Fifth Third Bank is launched an app that can be used instead of a debit card at its ATMs.
“Fifth Third is bringing new innovations to customers on a regular basis, and I’m excited that this new feature connects two channels our customers use frequently – our mobile app and Fifth Third ATMs,” stated Melissa Stevens, Fifth Third’s chief digital officer.
Fifth Third — the largest bank in the Dayton region — said mobile banking is growing, with a 40 percent increase in log-ins to their mobile banking app from December 2016 to December 2017.
Fifth Third has about 2,500 ATMs in its 10-state retail footprint and they all have card-free access.
To use Fifth Third’s ATMs without a debit card, customers tap on the cardless ATM icon in the app, touch anywhere on an ATM screen and scan the code that appears, and then enter their PIN.
