Juvenile pursuit suspects to be charged in Troy phone store break-in

Troy police said four of the five juvenile suspects they are looking for in connection to a break-in at a cell phone store are in custody.

Three of the suspects were arrested after a pursuit involving Germantown police on Wednesday. A fourth person who was taken into custody after the pursuit was not connected to the break-in and is not facing charges from Troy police.

A juvenile who was taken into custody by Dayton police on Tuesday in a separate incident will also face charges in the Troy break-in. 

Troy police said the suspects have not been cooperating with investigators. 

Police were not sure if the suspects from the break-in were connected to other burglaries at businesses, including a break-in at a Huber Heights phone store. A call to Huber Heights police for more information has not been returned.

FIRST REPORT

Troy police said they are pursuing charges against five juveniles in connection to a break-in at a cell phone store Monday. Four of the juveniles were apprehended after a pursuit in Germantown on Wednesday. 

Investigators told this news outlet the four juveniles being held after a pursuit in Germantown will face charges in connection to the break-in at the Metro PCS location in Troy on Monday. A fifth juvenile also wanted in the Troy break-in was apprehended in Dayton on Tuesday and will also be charged by Troy police. 

The specific charges the juveniles might face was not available. 

The five suspects are accused of breaking into the store at 722 West Market Street around 2:40 a.m. Monday. A second break-in was reported at a Metro PCS location in Huber Heights less than two hours later, but police from Troy and Huber Heights have not said if they believe the break-ins are connected. 

It is not known if the five suspects are facing charges from Huber Heights police. 

On Wednesday four of the juvenile suspects were involved in a pursuit with Germantown police. After crashing the car they were in, they fled on foot but were later captured.
