DP&L customers receiving phone calls promising discounts in exchange for personal information or payment are encouraged to hang up and report the call to DP&L representatives, according to a DP&L release.
Customers are advised to never give social security, bank, or credit card information to those requesting payments. Those who have already provided this information to someone acting as a DP&L spokesperson are advised to immediately contact their bank and the three main national credit bureaus.
