Hazmat crew called to Vandalia business after small fire

VANDALIA — UPDATE @ 10:40 p.m.

The facility has been evacuated and crews were on scene from Vandalia, Butler Twp. and Huber Heights fire departments.

It’s not clear what chemicals were at the building that concerned crews and led them to call a hazmat crew to check the facility.

Hazardous materials crews were called tonight to a Vandalia business after a small fire broke out.

Sprinklers were able to extinguish the fire reported around 8:45 p.m. at Heraeus Precious Metals, 970 Industrial Park Drive.
