Flu season is officially here…and things aren't looking so great. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported an uptick in U.S. patients presenting flu-like symptoms at healthcare facilities over the last few weeks. Four states – Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia and South Carolina -- already have widespread flu activity, and this time last year, there was minimal flu-like activity. With concerns around the effectiveness of this year's flu vaccine against the most common strain (H3N2), people need to take extra steps to guard against illness this season. Here's what you should do.
