No injuries reported in suspicious Dayton garage fire

UPDATE @ 6:28 a.m.

No injuries are reported in a Sunday morning fire that destroyed a two-car garage in Dayton.

A two-car detached garage was destroyed, but no one injured at the scene of a garage fire in Dayton Sunday morning.

Dayton District Fire Chief James Rose said crews encountered a fully-engulfed fire when they arrived to the garage in the 200 block of McClure Street.

A fire investigator on scene is determining a cause for the fire which Rose described as suspicious at this time.

Rose said the flames spread to a nearby fence due to windy conditions, but crews managed to put the fire out quickly.

A DP&L crew was called to the scene to assist in de-energizing active power lines that caught fire.
