FAIRBORN — A child was attacked Tuesday afternoon by a family friend’s dog.
Police and medics were dispatched around 3:40 p.m. to the 300 block of Williams Street.
Upon arrival, police said medics were in the process of taking the child bitten by the dog to Dayton Children’s Hospital. The extent of the child’s injuries was unknown.

GREENVILLE — UPDATE @ 10:39 p.m.:
Power has been restored to the nearly 200 DP&L customers who were without power Monday night, according to the DP&L Outage Map.
A tree had fallen on power lines around 6:30 p.m. on Jaysville-St Johns Road in Greenville.

Almost 200 DP&L customers are without power because of a fallen tree in Greenville Monday night.
A large tree fell on DP&L power lines around 6:30 p.m. on Jaysville-St Johns Road north of US-36, according to dispatchers.
The scene has been cleared but DP&L is working to restore power, according to DP&L spokesperson Mary Ann Kabel.

DAYTON — Crews have responded to a two vehicle injury accident at West Hillcrest Avenue and Piccadilly Avenue in Dayton around 9 p.m. Monday night.
One vehicle is reportedly on fire, according to dispatchers.

XENIA — UPDATE @ 9:30 p.m.: Investigators are working to determine the cause of the house fire on Glen Kegley Drive, Xenia Fire Chief Kenneth Riggsby said.
Crews dispatched on a report of a fire on the outside of the home found that flames caused extensive damage to the attic area, the chief said.
The two people in the home escaped without injury, he said.
Crews are on the scene of a reported working structure fire in the 1100 block of Glen Kegley Drive.
Initial reports from Xenia police and fire radio communication was that the house was being evacuated just before 7:30 p.m.

The initial report also suggested that fire had reached the attic of the one-story wood frame home.

— Sidney Police are asking for any information regarding a recent vandalism at the Agape food pantry on South Brooklyn Avenue. Police say ball bearings shot from a sling shot broke several windows and damaged the front door of the business. Agape’s staff reports that this is the second vandalism in about a month at this location.
The Agape food pantry serves the needy by providing meals to underprivileged citizens of Shelby County.
