Drug complaint prompts call for extra police on Cherry Drive in Dayton

UPDATE @ 6:20 p.m.: A 22-year-old man is in custody after police said he resisted arrest when they tried to take him into custody on a drug complaint involving marijuana.

The man tried to get into his house and that prompted the "signal 99" call for extra police and law enforcement to go to the Cherry Drive arrest, Dayton police tell us.

The man is on his way to jail on a possible charge of obstruction or resisting arrest.

A "signal 99" was activated for a police officer involved in some kind of police activity in the 300 block of Cherry Drive this afternoon.
