Electrical fire causes minor damage at restaurant under renovation

BEAVERCREEK — UPDATE @ 7:10 a.m.

Firefighters said a small electrical fire at the currently under renovation Wandering Griffin Brewery should not cause any construction delays.

Crews said the fire was contained quickly and should not cause a delay in the restaurant’s expected opening.

The cause of the fire is unknown and no injuries were reported.

FIRST REPORT

Firefighters in Beavercreek are working to contain a reported electrical fire at a restaurant currently under renovation.

Crews were dispatched to 3725 Presidential Drive around 4:30 a.m. on a reported structure fire at the business.

The structure, formally a Quaker Steak and Lube restaurant, is currently under renovation and will become the location of the Wandering Griffin Brewery.

Firefighters reported some smoke conditions on arrival and are continuing to work both inside and outside the structure.
